Sally Hansen Nail Polish and FOTD

Yesterday I blogged about a Sally Hansen nail polish. As I mentioned I purchased two of them, but i didn't want to talk about the second one unless I try it out as well. And I did, so here are some swatches and my opinion.

This shade is called Commander in Chic (No. 370), it's something between taupe and muddy lavender and love it. I applied it in three coats right on top of the yesterday's Pedal to the Metal (see the previous post) and already the first coat was rich enough to fully cover the previous shade. I added another two coats, but it wasn't necessary to build up the color, the coverage is great.

The brush in the nail polish is great - it is flat and a bit broader as other brushes in nail polishes and the creamy nail polish goes on smoothly and easily with this brush. It helps to apply the polish evenly, even with my left hand while I'm a right-hander.

My today's make-up wasn't especially exciting, but most of the the products I used became a part of my everyday routine and the look can bring me from day to night, if necessary.

Face: Peggy Sage matifying face base
Make Up For Ever HD Foundation No.125
TCW The Color Workshop Bronzer powder
Kryolan Anti-Shine powder
Kryolan quickly drying under-eye concealer
NARS Orgasm blush

Eyes: UD Primer Potion
Kryolan Beach eyeshadow allover the lid
Kryolan Copper eyeshadow in the crease
Kryolan Brown eyeshadow in the oter corner
Kryolan Bronze eyeshadow on the lower lid
MAC Blacktrack liquid liner
L'oreal Double Extention mascara
Mary Kay mineral eyeshadow in Espresso to fill in brows

The Kryolan eyeshadows have become a staple of my everyday make-up routine and I really love the matte shades over other eyeshadow brands formulas. They are perfectly blendable, stay in place and the color palette available is big enough to supply me with a plenty of very pretty natural shades as well as some lively colors.

Clarisonic Mia Review Update and Sally Hansen Nail Polish

Since I've had very little free time lately, I wasn't very present in the blogging world, although I am trying to keep in touch with those who blog on a more regular basis. I will try to improve my habits as a blogger, since I do have a couple of things to share with you :-).

First, I'd like to say a couple of words about my experience with the Clarisonic Mia I purchased a couple of weeks ago. I shared my first impressions with you, but I think I am able to give you a better review after these weeks of using it. I have to say that I became too lazy to use it on a daily basis, which is actually a shame, since Clarisonic Mia really works well for me. My skin gets dry easily, so I can't use it twice a day, 'cause it strips it of of its natural oiliness, but using it to get rid of the make-up every evening works perfectly. I can't say that I would see any major improvements to my skin, but the truth is, that my skin has never been anyhow problematic. On the other hand, I can feel the improvement the morning after, because my skin absorbs any night cream so well, that my skin is hydrated and soft in the morning. It really helps, because foundation gets on smoother and it improves the overall appearance of my make-up. The bottom line: I can say, that I don't regret this purchase and can recommend it to those, who consider buying it.

Let's get to something else. My last cosmetic purchase. The last Saturday I've been to a friend's wedding near Prague (Czech Rep.) and since I found out I forgot my hairspray at home, I popped in into a drugstore to get one. That's where I  discovered a range of Sally Hansen nail polishes I hadn't seen back at home, so I wanted to have a better look at them, but since I had a very little time to do so, I picked two and ran out (after paying for them, of course :-P). This is one of them called Pedal to the Metal (No. 330), which is a metallic lilac color, that feels pretty summery, but I can imagine it as a winter color as well.

Two to three coats lead to a nicely rich color, love it:

After the ceremony:

The next Saturday, another friend is getting married, looks like a wedding season over here :-).
Have a lovely new week :-).
