Fuchsia Blazer from Zara

I was trying to track down this blazer in a number of Zara stores for weeks. It was either sold out or not available in my size. I saw some other blazers in colors and cuts close to this one, but non of them was worth abondoning my hunt for this piece.

Two days ago, while on a walk, I was passing one of the Zara stores and just popped in to try my chances and it was there! I was soooo happy - I mean, clothes-happy, not I-survived-an-attack-of-killing-bees-happy :)...

The blazer has got a great magenta/fuchsia color, which appealed to me from the minute we first met :). The silhouette is feminine, with cute puff sleeve caps.

Here are a couple of styling tips:

Another look I created with this blazer was in one of my previous posts about colorblock clutches I discovered recently.

I love the vibrant (as well as pastel) colors, that are all over shops right now! It's really an eye candy to look at all the beautiful hues. It awakens creativity in me and makes me feel very Spring-y/Summer-y together with the lovely temperatures which have decided to arrive eventually!

I still have a couple of things on my Zara shopping wishlist this season. I especially love the tan peplum leather jacket and studded shopper! I really NEED those :D.
Not that the wishlist would be full of the mentioned colors :), but the majority of these pieces are nice wardrobe builders that survive for seasons and ignore trends, which makes me feel less guilty for spending on them :).

Anything on your shopping wishlist that you just HAVE TO have this season :)?

What I Wore: Nautical Theme

blue and white striped Marks & Spencer cardigan
Mango top (not visible)
 Pietro Filipi bag (previous season)
F&F belt (old)
H&M necklace
Lindex spike-y and belt-like bracelets (previous season)

I wore this (with dark-wash jeans to cover my butt, of course :) two days ago for a city walk with my baby son, Adam. Since I had no real opportunity to have pictures taken of me in the outfit, I used my always helpful dress form (she never complains, really :) for a quick photo shoot.

It would be a shame not to, because if you like nautical themed clothes and accessories as I do, you need to know, that the gold-anchor-on-a-chunky-chain necklace (with a coordinating bracelet) is a part of the summer H&M collection ;).

Blue and white stripes, anchors and ropes always make me take my wallet out. Is there a kind of clothes or accessories, that you seem to buy somehow over and over and have hard time resisting to buy :)?

LOOK by BIPA Clutches

Sometimes I happen to stumble upon the cutest things in places where I wouldn't really expect them at all. This is the case of these two envelope-style clutches in the colorblock style, that I got in BIPA, a drugstore.

BIPA is an Austrian drugstore chain with its own cosmetics and accessories line called LOOK by BIPA. I usually don't pay attention to the brand's handbags, but these two clutches just caught my eye instantly and for 14,99€ each, they are definitely worth getting.

These are not very roomy, as probably the majority of clutches, so don't expect them to hold all the things you need to carry around with you (I know you need to ;), but they are a nice outfit eye-catcher.

Some styling ideas...
Have you got anything worth buying in a place you wouldn't have expected it :)?

To Ikat or Not To Ikat

I remember, as I was a teenager, I had this ikat-patterned oversized winter jacket in muted earth tones. I really liked wearing it, but as it went out of fashion, I think I got rid of it. I am not very good at getting rid of things, especially clothes, because I think that as the fashion seasons come and go, many pieces that once looked ridiculous to me might be seen differently (and vice versa). But this one had probably been tossed.

Nevertheless, I keep seeing ikat-patterned clothes for a couple of seasons now and really like some of the patterns that look great on cozy winter cardigans as well as fun summer maxi dresses.

I have fallen in love with this cardigan recently. I LOVE the colors, the pattern, the styling. Unfortunately, even though on sale, it comes with quite a hefty price tag of 250 €, but that isn't putting me off completely. I just love it that much :).

In the meantime, I have found this black and white version, which was on sale as well, but for just 15€ at Tally Weijl :). It's by no means a worthy replacement for my alpaca and silk ideal, but it's pretty enough to keep me warm while thinking about all the reasons why I should invest in the beautiful earthy-toned one :).

Is there anything you like so much, that you think about splurging on even though the price tag says you shouldn't :)?
